My name is Mario
And for more than 10 years, I've been dedicated to the field of English language education in Japan.My passion for teaching began shortly after I graduated from Psychology University. I moved to England, where I had the unique opportunity to teach children with special needs, shaping my early pedagogical approach.
My Story
In 2014, I relocated to Japan and joined Minerva Intelligence (later renamed BE Studio). Until 2018, I served as an after-school program teacher across several schools in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Here, I championed the "Learn Through Play" philosophy, devising interactive activities that instilled a love for English learning among my students.
I innovated unique educational games, fostering a positive attitude towards the language. In 2019, I transitioned to Kids Duo International, a leading preschool and kindergarten company in Japan.
My experience was further enriched as I finetuned my teaching methods with younger children. Concurrently, I took on a role at Automotive Engineering Service, designing advanced English courses for engineers and administrative professionals. Feeling a calling to delve deeper into the Japanese pedagogical landscape, I embraced opportunities to teach at public elementary schools like Tsutsujiugaoka and Mamedo in Kanagawa Prefecture.
From 2022 to 2023, I expanded my horizons by teaching at three junior high schools in Sagamihara Prefecture. These experiences offered profound insights into the Japanese educational ethos, inspiring me to enhance the English curriculum in public schools.
Looking ahead, I am committed to evolving my teaching methodologies. My mission remains: to enrich English education and inspire countless students with engaging and impactful lessons.
